Cycling Logistics has been providing baggage services for bicyclists in the Southeast since 1999. Owned and operated by
Blake Ramey, Cycling Logistics specializes in group tours and has been a staple of Bike Ride Across Georgia (BRAG) and Bike
Florida. We also supported portions of Bike 2000 and added Cycle North Carolina in 2002. See the Events page for the schedule.
We started with a school bus, modified to suit our needs, and added a home-made trailer fondly
referred to as "the coffin", more reminiscent of its shape, not its contents. Well, we soon outgrew the "coffin" and replaced
it with the trailer seen on the home page. On our way back from Bike Florida 2003 the bus died and could not be repaired without
considerable expense. Enter the "Llama Cruiser", a truck than can be fixed anywhere.
Since we were previously known
as the 'little yellow bus' we had to change our public image as well. After mulling over more than a dozen ideas, we decided
on using a llama to represent the business. A llama is an efficient beast of burden, tractable, friendly and adaptable. We
feel it described Cycling Logistics quite well. We hope in time that people will take to the Llama like they did the yellow
bus. As far as I know, we are the only business with a cycling llama as its logo.
